Reflexology is a popular and relaxing holistic treatment based on the principle that reflex points in the feet are connected to corresponding areas throughout the body. Following illness, the body is in a state of imbalance and vital energy pathways are blocked, preventing the body from functioning effectively. Reflexology can be used to restore and maintain the body’s natural equilibrium and encourage healing.
A reflexology treatment lasts for approximately an hour. As it is just the feet that are being worked on, you remain fully clothed, simply just removing your socks and shoes. You will be asked to relax on the treatment couch and your feet will be cleaned at the start of the treatment. Then a variety of reflexology techniques will be used and adapted to suit your individual needs.
Since reflexology treats the whole person, not just the symptoms of disorder, most people will benefit from reflexology.
Benefits of Reflexology:
- Relief of stress and tension
- A feeling of deep relaxation
- Stimulates the immune system
- Increases energy levels
- Improves blood and lymph circulation
- Helps to calm and sooth the mind
- Helps to eliminate toxins
- Promotes a general sense of wellbeing

Hot Stone Reflexology.
Combines conventional reflexology with hot stones. The stones are used to stimulate the reflex points on the feet giving a deeper treatment. Very relaxing and warming. Feet are warmed using the hot stones, and the stones are used to work the foot reflexes on each foot in turn. Whilst not being worked the foot is wrapped in a hot stone bootie to give the full effect of the healing warmth of the stones. Finishing with a relaxing foot massage with a luxury deep moisturising cream. A wonderfully warming treatment – a session normally lasts from 30 to 90 minutes, depending on requirements.
Vertical Reflex Therapy.
VRT is a new form of reflexology that is applied to the weight-bearing feet for a few minutes before the conventional treatment. It was developed by Lynne Booth and is now practiced all over the world. The treatment is quicker than conventional reflexology and we can teach you some self-help techniques to use at home between treatments Allow 30 minutes for treatment.
Reflexology with Vertical Reflex Therapy.
A conventional reflexology treatment teamed together with VRT. Allows deeper stimulation of reflexes and often gives quicker results. Allow 70 minutes for treatment.
Luxury Reflexology Treatment.
Your feet are bathed in warm aromatic water, and then dried with warm towels. They are then exfoliated and the exfoliate removed with hot towels. Your feet are then gently filed to remove any hard skin and a warming foot mask applied and left for a few minutes to deeply moisturise the skin – hot towels are then applied to remove the mask. A conventional reflexology treatment is then given to help balance and restore harmony to the body. Once the cool-down after the reflexology treatment is given, your feet and lower leg will be treated to a long and luxurious massage. The whole treatment lasts about 90 minutes – utter bliss!
